
ABOUT THE NET PROGRAM
Nurse Education & Training for Urgent DOAC Related Bleeds is an interactive learning program designed to stimulate clinical reflection through the sharing of evidence-based best practices. The NET Program is designed by nurses for nurses in partnership with CITE: a not-for-profit clinician association affiliated with McMaster University.
This learning program has been accredited by the Canadian Nurses Association (CNA) and has been through rigorous quality assessment to achieve nationwide recognition.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES
After participating in this program, participants will be better able to:

Counsel patients on the risks and benefits of DOAC use;

Apply bleed management strategies for DOAC related bleeding;

Administer reversal agents in the case of an urgent DOAC related bleed;

Identify when best to restart DOAC therapy after a bleed related interruption.
